So I might have to break one of my resolutions.  But I really, really have to.  I don't have the necessary weights, colors, and amounts of yarn to make a blanket that looks like the stripey swatch on the right.  It's a rug for a baby's room and the mom registered for the rug.  I can make a blanket that looks just like it out of Berroco Comfort Bulky, for little $, and in little time.  But I don't have it in my stash.  I'd have to visit Kaleidoscope Yarns.

I'm thinking of modifying the Bob Blankie pattern from Mission Falls.  Maybe minus the thin white stripe between colors.  Another knitter suggested saving time by using the Conair Hair Braider to twist the yarn ends.  I might have to stop by Walmart as well!
